Making Valentine's Cards

I made the cutest cards for my family for Valentine's Day. I bought some vintage valentine cards from an antique store and some of the cards are images I found on the internet.
  • Photo-shopped the cards: fixing the color and the size and printed 3 copies of each image.
  • The bottom layer was the base. Cut the second photo into the large sections following the outline of the image on the photo/card. I than put the picture back together like a puzzle and used silcone to raise the image up and glue them ontop of the base photo.
  • Next cut the third layer into even more defined parts of the card and raise them off the card again using the silicone so they added another 3-D effect to the photo.
  • To make them a little more interesting I added plastic flowers and ribbon, as well as, a heart that labeled the valentine: who it's for and who it's from.
  • Supplies needed: Photo-paper with semi gloss finish, a small tube of silicone, scissors, small nail scissors, ribbon, small plastic flowers.

Making Valentine's Cards

I was just working on making some Valentines for my family. I scanned some vintage valentine's that I got from an antique store. I than photo-shopped them and copied them and made 3-D cards. I added flowers and ribbons to give them a little texture and depth.
